This Supplier Code of Conduct outlines the minimum standards we expect from our suppliers, subcontractors, and business partners throughout the jewellery supply chain.

2. Compliance with Laws and Regulations

All suppliers must comply with:

  • Australian Consumer Law (ACL)
  • Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth)
  • Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth)
  • Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Cth)
  • International Labour Organization (ILO) standards on ethical labour practices

3. Ethical Labour and Human Rights

Suppliers must uphold fundamental human rights, including:

  • No forced labour, child labour, or human trafficking in operations or supply chains.
  • Compliance with minimum wage laws, fair working hours, and benefits.
  • Safe and healthy working conditions for all employees.
  • No discrimination or harassment in the workplace.

4. Responsible Sourcing of Materials

Suppliers must ensure:

  • All diamonds, gemstones, and precious metals comply with Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS) and ethical sourcing guidelines.
  • No conflict minerals or materials sourced from regions engaged in human rights abuses.
  • Transparent supply chain documentation proving ethical origins of materials.
  • Environmentally responsible extraction and processing of materials.

5. Environmental Sustainability

Suppliers must adopt sustainable practices, including:

  • Reducing waste, emissions, and energy consumption.
  • Using responsible mining and manufacturing processes.
  • Proper disposal of hazardous materials and chemicals.
  • Compliance with Australian environmental protection laws.

6. Business Integrity and Anti-Corruption

Suppliers must:

  • Adhere to fair trade and anti-bribery laws.
  • Avoid fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading practices.
  • Maintain transparency in business dealings and supply chain records.
  • Report any unethical behaviour or corruption within their operations.

7. Compliance Monitoring and Audits

Harry & Co Jewellery reserves the right to:

  • Conduct regular audits to assess supplier compliance.
  • Request documentation proving adherence to ethical sourcing requirements.
  • Terminate agreements with suppliers failing to meet these standards.
