Custom Jewellery Design Policy

Last Updated: 14/02/2025

1. Introduction

At Harry & Co Jewellery, we specialise in crafting bespoke engagement rings, wedding bands, and fine jewellery. This policy outlines the custom jewellery design process, customer obligations, and conditions regarding revisions or modifications after design approval.

2. Custom Design Process

Our custom jewellery process involves multiple stages to ensure a personalised and high-quality piece:

  1. Initial Consultation: We discuss design preferences, gemstones, metals, budget, and timelines.
  2. Design Development: Our jewellers create design sketches or digital renderings based on customer input.
  3. Approval & Deposit: Once the design is finalised, we require written approval and a non-refundable deposit before production begins.
  4. Manufacturing & Setting: Skilled artisans handcraft the piece using the agreed specifications.
  5. Final Inspection & Collection: Upon completion, we conduct a quality check before presenting the finished piece to the customer.

3. Customer Obligations

To ensure a smooth custom jewellery experience, customers must:

  • Provide Accurate Information: Ring sizes, metal preferences, gemstone choices, and any specific requests must be confirmed before production.
  • Review Designs Thoroughly: Customers must carefully review and approve the design before production begins. Any adjustments after approval may incur additional charges.
  • Make Timely Payments: A deposit is required to initiate production, and full payment must be made before collection or delivery.
  • Acknowledge Production Timelines: Custom jewellery creation takes time, typically between 4-8 weeks, depending on complexity.

4. Revisions and Changes After Design Approval

  • Pre-Production Changes: Minor modifications may be accommodated before final approval, subject to feasibility.
  • Post-Approval Changes: Once a design is approved and production begins, any requested changes may result in additional costs and extended timelines.
  • Resizing & Adjustments: If a completed ring requires resizing, additional fees may apply depending on the extent of the adjustment.

5. Refunds and Exchanges

Due to the personalised nature of custom jewellery, we do not offer refunds or exchanges unless the item is faulty or does not match the approved design specifications. Issues must be reported within 7 days of receipt for assessment.
